Jenny, now resident of 18 years, living in Point Chevalier Auckland, hails from Scotland...
...meet the real life Mrs Doubtfire:)
To September 2015, I was Supervisor of the After School Care programme for Westmere school in charge of 50 children. My role involved the management of the programme, menu planning, setting and supervising a variety of daily/weekly activities, staff management, and overall supervision of the children and the programme success!
Here's just a little bit said about me:
"With an abundance of energy, enthusiasm and an all important sense of humour, Jenny, the mother of two school and college aged children, has great hands-on experience relating to both children and adults, and the care and management of them respectively. Jenny has extensive professional skills with exposure in a number of exciting industries and start-up businesses, including Travel - sales and account management, retail and in recent years, experience with child focussed Youth initiatives. She has a great creative and artistic flair, having been active in many performing arts activities and dance groups herself, coupled with a passion for introducing, encouraging and involving children in all areas of play - 'the baking process' and cooking, arts n crafts, dance, music and drama, general sports and movement and a general whiz with photography & videography... watch this space!
From a 20 year background of Senior Account Management, predominately for an airline,
I have worked with, educated, and managed relationships at varying levels from managing national A- list business accounts, retail agencies, and managing their financial and sales and marketing relationships and business trading.
In 2012, I undertook the formal process of becoming a recognised Youth Care Business Provider; all standards of the business are set in conjunction with OSCAR/MSD & Child Youth and Family NZ operational standards. All Policies and Procedures were compiled to form the operational status and quality of service standards for the club; considering, but not limited to, Health and Safety, Risk Management, Operational, Safety & Child Protection please click
My vision; creation of the kidzshout Youth Club is where my true passion falls.
kidzshout Youth Club opened it's doors in February 2016, and our success continues with our growing reputation to offering a central location and a free spirited but managed environment for ages from Primary to Intermediate aged kids. It's about offering a youth club concept, so truly giving them a place and space they actually want to be part of. We work creatively through fun and learning projects, game play, sports activities, life skill activities, creatives, dance and drama and a whole bunch of shenanigans and just an abundance of fun!
In my years of growing up I was member of the Drama School of Arts in Fife, Scotland, and was involved in many stage productions of drama, dance and music. I have always held a youthful approach to my life and have found that kids find me relatable to them (handy as a Mother of 2 sons). I am exceptionally well travelled and have the pleasure through family holidays to latterly working for an airline to have discovered and embrace many cultures. I embrace the outdoor lifestyle (hence I moved from freezing Scotland to NZ) my key likes for day to day activities are cycling, walking, swimming, and I have a passion for cooking. My two children Lyall and Deacon are of course my world and both have been an integral part of the making of our great community club a success.
Certified in comprehensive business/sales, marketing and account management, with corporate business experience over 30 years.
